5/12/10

Eve- You have this new phrase that you like to use, "Come on".  You say it when we want you to do something you kinda don't want to do and you give it with a little attitude that you could definitly use.  I guess it kinda goes along with your trying to compromise with us on stuff.  Almost every morning you ask "How about I change my pj bottoms and you let me wear my shirt all day.  That would be ok, right".  You must really love your pj shirt.

Daphne - I had to make some tough phone calls today, and you were so good.  I even put you in your crib for a little and you didn't make a peep until I was off the phone.  You had fun getting to go in Eve's, well now both of your's tent and feel like you were part of the fun group.  Its great to see you two starting to interact.

5/10/10

Eve- You came in and woke me up today.  You got your face up really close to mine and said "I love you mommy, wake up".  You have such a sweet personality and are so loving.  You are always telling me and Daphne how much you love us.

Daphne- You giggled for the first time today!!  It was so cute.  We were playing this little tongue game where I move my tongue and then you try to copy.  So I stuck my tongue out at you and you had these three little giggles.  Me and your daddy both heard it.

Eve - You definitly are one of those kids that say the dardest things.  Today when we went out running errands, you took a coupon for breastpads that you found and showed it to everyone.  I asked you why you needed it and you said in case your boobs ever leaked, you would be ready.  And I hate to say it, but I think you have inherited mine and Natalie's clumbsyness.  Over the weekend, you weren't watching and stepped in a container of cupcakes with your socks on.  Daddy took the time to help get off your tights and less than two minutes later, you stepped in them again.  Daddy was laughing so hard.

Daphne Dee - That's what Eve calls you.  You are doing so well with your sleep training.  I have been amazed at how quickly you have adapted and am happy to fall asleep on your own.  It makes me a little sad to know you are already starting to grow and do things on your own.  There are so many firsts right around the corner for you.

Eve - You really love to cut.  Sometimes I get so frustrated on you because you ask to cut one paper and end up cutting a whole bunch.  But you still haven't cut anything you really aren't allowed to, so you will get to keep going.

Daphne - Right now you are very fussy in your father's arms.  Sometimes we feel like its hard to find out exactly what you want.  But part of that is still the shots going through your body.

5/6/10

Eve : You made us laugh today with your mothering.  You clmbed into our bed while we were getting ready to go to Great Bend and said you were going back to sleep.  You claimed to have been up late with your babies and now since they were sleeping, so were you.  The funny thing was that at about 3 in the morning I was feeding Daphne and I did hear you wake-up and talk to them and then go to sleep.  I just love how you can be so intense with your motherly desire to never leave your kitty flip and your need to care for him.

Daphne:  Yeah, you are almost to 12 pounds, only an once to go.  You are so much bigger than Eve was and its nice not to have to worry about that with you.  You had to get two shots and you definitly cried but were easily soothed.  And it was great tonight to have you getting back to normal and flashing your dimples.

5/5/10

Eve: I am so proud of how outgoing you are becoming.  We went to the church senior softball game at the park and you just went up to all your little friends and joined in no matter if they are older than you.  And it was so funny how you turned your yogurt into little hills you called cupcakes.

Daphne:  You and I stayed up way to late last night.  And at 3am we both fell asleep while I was trying to feed you.  You ate really good today and I hope you are getting over your poop issues soon.  I can't wait to see how big you are at your dr appointment tomorrow.

Why am I doing this?

This blog is not really meant to be a blog for other people to see.  Its more of my attempt at a journal so I can keep records of the ups and downs of my girls life.  I know I have trouble writing everything down, and now that I am normally on my computer at sometime of the day, I am going to just jump on and write down some of the fun things of the day.  Like yesturday, Eve totally popped a squat in the backyard.  I found her while she was pulling her pants back down because she said she was still wet down there and couldn't find the backyard toilet paper.  I almost couldn't stop laughing, but was glad I didn't have to take her back inside and clean her off.
